I call bull...

I've got a dozen or so Wordpress accounts, and I've never had a blog been deleted. Made one earlier this week and put up a few posts, and the account is still fine.

Could be the type of post you're making. Typically I write something (usually manually spun, but occasionally unique content), and I include 2 to 3 links. They're not overtly advertising my site, and the anchor text flows with the rest of the article.

I know some people have advised here that you should post once or twice without making any links. I don't see why. I've made at least half a dozen accounts on a lot of major Web 2.0's (Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr, Typepad, Posterous, Multiply), I've always started with a post with links, and I've almost never had a problem.

I've only once had a Web 2.0 account been taken down as spam, and that was a Blogger account. I was testing out an autoblog idea, and the content was pretty spammy. But, with nicely spun content and contextual links, I've never had an issue.

Why? I would leave the picky ones in your list as they are very valuable for those people who build quality properties, manually.

Question about creating more web 2.0 sites?

Like I create 5-10 wordpress sub websites, does it help or you guys just create one for one money site?
 
Squidoo is noindex, nofollow unless you get 20 squidoo likes and have 100% finished lense (on the right hand side is a bar shows your progress). So it is now 100% useless.

So wrong. This only means Squidoo links are better than ever before. They're just harder to get.
 
Does anyone know if the older squidoo links are converted to nofollow as well or just the new ones?

My lenses are still d0follow. Never had a problem with them going nofollow in the past and I check up on them now and again.

I wouldn't be quite so quick to call things useless. A change like that will probably make the links that are still do follow more worthwhile they're just a bit harder to get. Really though, 20 Squid likes is not so hard to fake...

My squidoo Links are d0follow still. No I dont have a lens with 20 likes and they are around 66%-91% finished.
 
Seems like old lenses are still ok. It probably applies just to newly created ones. So squidoo links are just a bit more valuable.

Such a great list but could be alot better with the update PhpBuilt was talking about in early Feb... In the meantime, I'll use it as is and see how they do.

Yeah. The numbers of likes and percentage of finished seem to variate from time to time. Last time, I think it was only 10 likes needed.
 
Is Anybody here using bravenet right now? My newly built property with them has meta tags like this: <meta name="ROBOTS" content="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW" />. Well, what's it all about? I've searched around and couldn't find any options to remove this. What's the point of "NOINDEX" by default? I've checked several aged properties of them and none of those has such meta tag on. Does anybody know how to remove this? Or it will just disappear someday in future when you get some authority?
