Just stumbled across and thought i'd share. Interesting stuff.

In past years, there have been requests for new top level domains such as .kids, .shop, .nyc and for porn sites .xxx.

Pretty cool. Not sure how much weight these domains will carry, but if the SEs like them, creating EMDs will be a lot easier, and make it more competitive I imagine. New EMDs could be created for domains that have already taken the .com

Old and new, they have now accepted new domain names for companies. So you could have :
