Hi BHW!

I'm not sure if this is of any significance, but I encountered spam today which I had not seen before.

Here's how it works:

- Scrape a good amount of active Youtuber users (you need the channel URLs)
- Get a t.co shortened link for your the URL you want to promote"
- Create a new Brand account / Channel called "Win a free Iphone 8 here: t.co/abc" (make sure you got the link in there!)
- Add all of the scraped users as channel moderator. Either manually (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7023301?hl=en) or using automation software, iMacro might work

All users that you add as a moderator will receive an email like the one below. The beauty is, that Google makes the URL from your channel name clickable :)

I have not tried this myself on a large scale, maybe it doesn't work at all, I just figured I'd share it here so it maybe helps someone.
If this has been around for a while, I'm sorry, I'm not really into spamming lately.

Have a good start into 2018!

If there is a way to do automate that and it's really under spam radar, that's a great method!

I guess it depends on how big you wanna go. As I said, I haven't really tried this myself.
If it's just for your browser, I guess iMacro or similar extensions might work.
If that's not enough: Multiple channels, multiple proxies and eg. python + selenium to automate (gotta have some programming skills for that tho)

Goldmine!

Do you have an idea of how many users can be imported at once?

Lmao @Nonilol I thought I was the only one who got hit by this :D I received the exact same email few hours ago lmao. Someone is banking hard! RIP RIP method.

↑ The fuck is this, I did not write this comment?!

Edit: Ah... nvm. It's just you. I got confused between Nonilol and Neon again

I don't really see how YouTube can patch this, I mean not without preventing moderators to be assigned to channels.

By not making URLs in channel names clickable or by adding limit for how many channels can be added as moderator in a period of time ;)
I was too late, Deleted member 923340 pretty much said it

nice find & nice share
but like others said, expect this to be patched real soon now that the worlds biggest IM forum seen it
tomorrow 10 other IM forums will see it
so hit it hard & fast while you can
or twist it, see what other websites function in a similar way and apply the same blueprint.

limiting the number of moderators, u can set for a channel.

No, I know its possible that they can patch it, but I meant unless there's a REALLY big issue such as hundreds of thousands abusing this, I doubt they will do much.
