Steps to reproduce.

1. Promise something great like unlimited 4K adult videos.
2. Ask for email.
3. Ask for credit card details and say it's only $1.
4. Provide very, very small value in steps 2, 3.
5. Wait for them to be charged $49 in 30 days as they don't notice.
6. Profit.

I registered on Brazzers and they charged me $1 and didn't give me anything.
Now I see the same practice on Clickbank.
Well, it can be easily used in products of ourselves.

Even I can't resist paying $1 for unlimited stuff. However, I didn't get almost anything for that $1!

A classic technique.

That's $100k from one customer!

This happened to me multiple times, not on Braz but with many other services. I guess at least 5-10% of people forget in similar situations(like me). If they truly like the service, they will continue using it anyway

That's why I always cancel the subscription when I get the free trial for a dollar or so...

These offers were big like 5-10 years ago, esp with dating and webcams. You wouldn't be able to get and keep processing nowadays if you tried to start it cold without any prior knowledge or connections.

I was too busy with other stuff last 5 years than opening Brazzers and clickbank. Just noticed this practice recently as I was interested in less valuable, more common products.

I mean, it's like 10x better than farming Spotify and fraud. You can just give value. In spotify farming it's impossible.

I think it's very similar to trial offers.

Even my local gym uses this practice. Yes, nobody except me complains. People are just used to being charged left and right today.

I don't know why it's called scam.

It's not a scam like Spotify farming or AdSense fraud. It's way less scammy.

The whole subscription model in my opinion is pure evil and that's all. It's not a scam though.

Of course you can use it to provide value. Or you can provide trash.

Envato elements gave me a pagination last time and I thought they have like 500 pieces of the thing I'm looking for.

I subscribed impulsively. And there was nothing beyond page 1. On page 2 and further there was nothing relevant.

So I reported that to PayPal and they issued a refund as PayPal is the most customer centric company in the world.

I'm not criticizing anything, just collecting information and stating half-assed opinions on every topic as I usually do on the internet, and as 99.98% of population does. I think the internet is a great scam at this point. Or it can be used to create great scams.

Time to form a nice set of rug pulls. I'm not into it yet. Time to start. In 2 years I need 2 billion.

I don't believe the internet can be used for anything other than taking money off wallets people at this point. It's just a great money making machine in its current version. I have no idea what else to do here. Posting any content to discuss is just counterproductive. People act like they can't focus for 20 minutes to talk about an issue. They're jumping from card to card. I think the greatest thing we can do today is to quit internet and focus on something like college / getting diploma / forming a marketing scheme to make easy $0.5m / learn more business when people dance in front of cameras.

I read Investopedia and stuff like this cause it started to make sense to me. I learn C++ cause it started to make sense to me as well. I think you can make your own path if you figure out all this nonsense. That fcking wizardry that nobody takes time to break down and analyze cause everyone is just too distracted, that includes businessmen. People in power don't use the internet too much. You need to make conscious decisions in life, very conscious or you'll be a creator of a machine to create more nonsense. It's like producing bugs or dumb cattle.

These days a lot of people are wary of giving out card details to some back alley website even if there's 0 charge. Giving your card details and $1 to Brazzers or to some app via like the Google Play/Apply Store is very different from some janky ass clickbank affiliate site.

Even though looks like a good move, really don't like it, prefer hard working money

I don't think it's scammy...the terms are clear and you agree, unless the service doesn't mention that they will charge you in a month
That's why I only use virtual temporary cards for this kind of purchase...the card is deleted in 7 days and then can't charge me
Lots of banks offer virtual card and you can manually delete them as well
