The main question is: do channels verified by selfie or documentation perform better at startup than a channel without any verification?
A week ago, I created a new channel, and it was verified by video selfie. The channel started very well for a new channel. One video out of the five I had reached 5,000 views. It's not bad at all for a new channel. Although their analytics are very mature, from my experience, I know very well that the thumbnails I use have a high click-through rate (CTR), and the ones from this channel had a CTR of 20%!!.
YouTube was recommending the videos a lot more. I had 6,000 views a day for three days.
Now it's all gone to hell. YouTube closed my channel due to nudity policies, which, yes, it was a bit spicy, but there was no nudity or anything. This may be the key. I am not sure. Keep reading.
Now what I did was, I fixed all his previous videos where it's not spicy. I uploaded everything to the new channel without verification, and YouTube does show the videos, but nothing compared to the old one.
The CTR is still very high on the thumbnail, and the content is of good quality, really good and entertaining.
Although I made changes to the videos, I did not allow them not to be entertaining.
A few days have passed, and there is tremendous resistance from YouTube to show the videos to more people. I also uploaded new content that had not been published in the previous deleted channel, and again the CTR is very high.
I'm not sure. Maybe it's that the previous spicier content was better or that the verified accounts have more trust score, and YouTube recommends them more, especially for new channels.
Does anyone know for sure if this theory is true, or is the problem that the previous content was better?
Please share similar experiences or something I am missing.
