New User- Popular intro threads?

are there any particular threads that are bhw 'famous', or popular intro tutorials etc. that most users have read etc.?

I'm familiar with the posting guidelines and stuff , was just wondering if there were any notorious threads/tutorials/guidelines etc. that have gained a lot of attention on the forums.
