New update on google

Just to answer your question no. The slapped site does not have any redirect pointing to it.

I looked through some busier keywords and most are unchanged .. In a couple the sites above me are gone .. Replaced by some larger sites .. But my site is in same position.

so yeah does seem like the newer sites are the ones affected not the older sites.
 
got hit also. almost all my kws are now no where to be found. traffic down by 70%. used to get 10k+ views daily. now only around 3k.

this is on old domain i redirect to a better domain name but basically same concept.
 
:) again, is there any quarrel betwn matt cutt and his wife... seems like this man never sleeps. nothing from my side. so far so good, may be something will be waiting for me in future. ;)
 
There is something wrong my clients website ranking fluctuating.
 
2 of my sites saw huge drop in rankings yesterday while another went from page 5 to no.1!

I also lost 2 other sites in last months update and the only thing similar with all 4 that dropped compared to those that didnt is that the dropped sites used GSA SER and my other sites did not.
 
Ha.. Ha.. No found here. I think google busy with discuss about next update.

We track several hundred sites and a handful dropped today and besides a fairly clean link profile, they all had heavily anchored/linked 301s pointing at their money site. Yes, I felt a slight drop in a website that had a 301 redirect. Main keywords seemed "ok". Long tails seemed to have been dicked though, hard to tell without proper keyword data but traffic dropped from around 700 UV's to 200-300 per day.

Didn't feel this on websites that didn't have a 301. Hard to say if it's the same issue that you have experienced since I only had this one 301 redirect that was in place.
 
No changes to my main sites so far. Visitor daily average still the same, more or less.
 
All my of sites have either increased in rank, or at the very least held their rank. It's more than likely just more low quality links being found and devalued.
