I think the OP is referring to automating Chrome to use another IP (via a proxy)
You can see on the left browser screen that with a site like whitepages.com, they block tools like Selenium from accessing it. The screen on the right showing the same whitepages.com site being successfully accessed using Selenium, masking your automation/bot activity.
