New Twitter Cap?

I seem to be stuck on following 615 followers, it doesn't matter what I try to do it won't let me follow anyone else... the account is fairly newish.

Anyone got any suggestions on what I should do? or should I just wait it out?

twitter is having SERIOUS problems right now! too many people signing up, and then using various (external) tools that make requests...just hammering their CPU resources.

probably why they are talking about having 'pro' accounts! so they can get some $$ into more server-power.

yeah iv'e noticed on some days I cannot get by a certain number of followers. If I wait a day it usually works. They must be having some issues.

There is not a new cap being put on by Twitter as a policy.

Rather -- as stated above -- Twitter cannot keep up with demand. They had API issues, storage issues, etc. -- every possible resource issue you can imagine.

They are limping along -- hell even CNN showed the Twitter "Too Many Tweets" at this time page earlier today.

That's not surprising since CNN is like global no.1 but thanks for the info everyone.
