New Travel Blog - SEO

Hi guys,

im kinda new in this business. Sorry for the stupidness.. :)


A bit of context:

I was travelling the world for almost 18 months now. I took a lot of pictures and wrote down notes about my trips. Right now Im writing the articles.

What do I have:
- Content
- Niche Keywords
- Domain
- 10K Follower with my personal Instagram Account. I will create a new Blog Instagram account as well.


What do I need:
- Webspace
- Wordpress Page
- Social signals, Backlinks ect
- (what else .. ? )


So what is the best way to rank my Blog quickly? I know that SEO takes time but I want to avoid any mistakes at the very beginng.

Next steps: Getting webspace, talking to BHW Web Design Seller, Talking to BHW Social signals/Backlinks Seller, Uploading my Content .. Any mistakes so far?

By the way is it a good idea to buy an older Domain with Google Trust? Or what about buying an older travel blog with a good Domain Authority and upload my content with my keywords. Of course I would delete his/her stuff before.

It sounds like you have it all figured out! If you're buying an older domain, just make sure that it doesn't have any strikes against it and you'll be fine. Otherwise, this plan seems solid - good luck!

Still, giving some points...
1. Get domain & hosting.
2. Setup Nice looking site.
3. Publish great quality content.
4. Create Your social profiles.
5. Start Off page SEO.

I'd personally outsource off page SEO completely (start with the basic packages and then scale up) and concentrate 100% on consistently pushing out quality content and engaging with your audience.

If I buy a solid/good older Domain wouldnt be a problem to rank with another/new keywords than before..? Lets say the former blogger ranked with keywords like luxuary travelling. And I try to rank with cheap travelling. Isnt that an issue for Google?

Do you know a good way to screen a domain if the domain got any strikes so far?

But it from a reputable seller @Nargil Is the go to guy around here for domains. Pre screened and ready to use.

Ideally, you need to understand there is not a 'quick' involved in this situation.

I know. You are absolutely right. Like I said Im just trying to avoid any mistakes and Im asking myself.. If its the better way to start with an older (trusted/proofed/with some backlinks) Domain or a new one.
 
Buy a new domain that is brandable or has a travel keyword in it.

Install Wordpress.

Start publishing content.

Start getting some niche relevant links with brandanchors (by example by blogcommenting on other travelblogs).

Get some high quality PBN links after a while.

You all know all you need to get started. So go get yourself a nice domain name. The older the better. Get yourself a hosting space. Instal wordpress on it, get a good theme and write good contents. Create social media accounts especially facebook, twitter, linkedin, reddit. Start posting great articles and shear on all your social handles. Do manual blog commenting to get backlinks. You go...ready to fly.
 
I would add a real-life storys to this, but this is more likely for further travel.
A lot of people love to watch storys.
 
I would also recommend connecting with other travel bloggers.
A lot of those guys love to support each-other.
If you have meaningful content based on legitimate travels, I'm sure many of them would love to let you guest post on their site for free.

Get your self a web hosting space.
Instal wordpress, get an awesome theme and write true contents.
You can create a beautiful social profile.
or you can start ....... SEO or travels blog.
