New to using private proxies (Question?)

Hi i am new to buying and using private proxies,
I just bought 10 private proxies to test out.

The pack said USA proxies
when tested in scrapebox they say Venezuela,

Is this a problem, should i complain, or is there no difference whether they are from USA or Venezuela and will just do as good a job?

Probably a very nooby question im sorry and appreciate any answers.

Assuming the GeoIP test is correct then yes that is a problem if they advertised USA proxies and you got Venezuela.

Sometimes the GeoIP test fails though, so be 100% sure before you "shit list" your provider.
 
There is definitely a difference! When I first started out in IM I purchased some proxies on Fiverr (big mistake). They were complete sh*t. They were advertised as US but were actually in a different country and I could not access the site intended because of this. Do a double check and talk to the seller. Good luck!
 
I would definitely contact the provider about this issue.

You can also manually confirm the ip location by using this website - ipaddresslocation.org

Thanks for the information. I'm also new to proxies. Is there a large benefit to using a private proxy versus paying for a premium service like proxify or hidemyass
 
What range are your proxies on? If they start off with something like 186.xx or 190.xx they're definitely not USA as that's were a large part of the VE proxies come from. That definitely seems fishy though and I'd look into it a bit more for sure if I were you because as stated above there will be a pretty big difference in how they perform for you and what you can do with them. You might want to plug one into your browser and go to http://whatismyip.com and see if they're even anonymous proxies and where you show up as coming from. You can use your own judge of course as well if you have one, but off the top of my head I can't think of any ranges that would have any chance of showing up as coming from VE, or SE and actually be from the US.

I itried what you suggested and got the following results,

151.xxx.xxx.xxx
Proxy: No Proxy Detected
City: AMSTERDAM
State/Region: OHIO
Country: UNITED STATES
 
Well that's not even a range I had considered to be completely honest. There are quite a few different countries on that range so I guess that's why it may have shown up differently on different searches. It looks like you're ok, maybe it's just a slow server. Your best bet would probably be to contact the support team and see if there's anything they might be able to do to help you out or speed things up.

it may help us to no what the proxies will be used for
this way we can advise if the proxies need to be usa specific
or if the ones you have will work ok
