Can someone help me with this question?

What happened if I rewrite the text link pointing to my site in a few external sites. Are these changes going to affect to the previous PageRank on my site?

I can’t find any info out there…

Most probably... if the previous anchor text was 'your niche specific keyword' or 'http dot yourwebsite dot com' and the anchor text has been changed significantly like 'random pr0n dog p00p bad bad words' or 'random cars bikes planes and trains' then yes I'd imagine there would be a change in the PageRank of the pages they were linking to...

If they were really strong links that are providing huge SEO Juice yes you'd probably see a difference in rankings.

If they are just a bunch of random links that don't matter in the sea of external sites you've got going then probably won't make a difference.

Well, hopefully I will see those changes in the PageRank. Before, the text link wasn't ranking for an specific niche, just the website's name.

Yep. You want to make the anchor text of your backlinks the keywords you want to rank for.

Have a healthy spread through...

• A nice portion of plain domain name links
• A 'less is more' approach to specific keywords/rich 'exact match' anchor texts
• A healthy dose of related/synonymous anchor text containing keywords or synonyms... i.e. 'Click here to learn about how to easily weigh your meatballs to monitor calories' (if you were going for weight loss)
• A random amount of random anchor text... i.e. 'check this site out' 'a site i found useful
