New to the grind.

Hello, I have been on this forum as a lurker randomly over the years and finally decided to sign up and start trying to make some money on the side from my day job. I am a little lost on where to start, but I think from what I read a good place to start is try to make a blog for a keyword and rank it. Though I am not sure how to go about finding a keyword.

use search bar, "keyword research guide"

Look up "Google Keyword Planner". Good place to start.

My old guide on ranking without backlinks goes over how to find keywords and determine how competitive they are, but I don't recommend the Moz toolbar to assess keyword competition these days.
