You can hire a team if you have less time and slow learning curve. Also you don't want to mess it up from the beginning.

Meanwhile, learn the concept and how things work.

I hope you are talking about SEO. Learn and implement yourself is bit slower and hire an expert is faster to see results. However definitely beginner can learn if they spend some solid time..

Of course it takes time to learn it yourself and get experience but I think it is a good investment for yourself as well and definitely worth the time effort. However, if you need quick results, hire someone more experienced.
