    Hello,

I am new to SEO, still studying and learning as I go. Recently I was told to grow in rank, I need to find who all is linking to my competitors and start a campaign asking those people with the highest authority to link to me. They were using Open site explorer from moz. But I can't afford to purchase this for $99 a month. Is there any other related tools that I can use that are either free or at least about $100 dollars for the year. Please advise. Thanks you guys.

I'd go for Ahrefs if the budget allows. Then, Majestic & Moz.

But, with you budget and your situation, I'd go for SEO Spyglass.

In 100 bucks budget go for SEO Spyglass, also I'd suggest you to try BuzzBundle tool to know the social media activity of your competitors.

I would also go with ahrefs and majestic but what if the competitor is blocking ahrefs and majestic robots?

You realize that the background of this forum is black right?

If you can't afford a higher end service, find 2-4 people that would be willing to split it with you on the monthly. There are some things you don't want to cheap out on with SEO. This is one of them.

Go for ahrefs and majestic. There are threads that tell you how to get free moz pro membership for up to 4 months through namecheap etc. Give them a try too.
