Hello everyone!

I am learning SEO as marketing is of upmost importance and I have come to the realization that I don't know where to start really.
I want to be as efficient as possible so my questions are as follows: (any help is greatly appreciated!)

-what tools should I be using for Instagram SEO; whether they be paid or free
-what have you learned now about SEO that you wish you knew when you just started out

Thank you!

https://www.wordstream.com/blog/ws/2021/04/07/instagram-seoand that is not easy as you think, eyes will pop out in the learning process :), besides that, white hat methods(that I like most) are for me personally best methods for long term ranking

Thank you for your response.
Are there are any whitehat methods that you can point me towards to do more research on? I.e. what keywords to google search or what to search on this forum.
I am open to long term ranking as I find that most sustainable for the route I'm taking with my niche.

It definitely would have helped to know which tactics to avoid.
For one, avoid click-bait-y articles because those are relics of the past.
They sabotage your credibility like spams in the email.
Call to action words are basic SEO tools for sustainability
Thank you for your input! Cheers

I would recommend heading to Ahrefs blog, semrush blog, and reading a lot!
There is also a couple of great youtube channels like
Brian Dean
Income school
SEMrush Academy. ...
Moz Seo Training
Yoast SEO Training. ...
Detailed SEO Blueprint
Ahrefs youtube channel

Easiest way to do things is to do longtail blog posts, people also ask, NLP, and autocomplete types of questions and answers.
All your content should go to powering-up some master pages you want to rank, probably going to an affiliate offer.

If you can get sales and monetization out-of-the-way, and just focus on traffic, then your life will be SOOO much easier.
If you do this kind of blogging... you WILL start ranking for things, and you will get traffic.
This is the most no-brainer method I'm aware-of...

When you are ready to kick things up, then you'll wanna learn how to buy links or build them, and at that point, things get A LOT more complicated.
Start simple, and then once you've got $1000 of sales coming-in each month, then you can maybe bootrap your budget into trying some other things.
Really, though, it's better to just invest that into new sites and content, since everything else can be A LOT more complicated.
Best to you! :)

You can't build a following without have a content marketing strategy.
So, I would say yes...
Even if your format is purely videos... finding topics works pretty much the exact same way.

yes I have SOMEWHAT of a content marketing strategy.
I'm guessing I just have to be consistent with making content and pushing it?

My only concern is the route i'm taking on content wise is more quality over quantity so it is taking me time to both think of an idea and execute it as well as save up money
to fund the idea.

Would a blog still be worthwhile if I can only type articles / voice my opinions and do google images or something rather than post original content that I have yet to push towards.

if you're just looking for a place to start, you should be publishing web pages with tons of text. the only way you'll rank for keywords is to have them live on your website. there's a lot of steps along the way that you'll pick up as you go. for example, after publishing a new web page, you should try to have that new web page indexed (known to google). It all starts with ranking for keywords

I guess you're conflicted between volume versus authority, and I honestly have the same conflict, sometimes.
There are some big names who do nothing but put-out a small number of higher quality pieces of content, a small number of times per year.
There are some big names who do the opposite, and blog everyday, or multiple times everyday.

From experience, I will say that long-tail posts, and rapid content, are great at getting low volumes of consistent content, but it can take a lot more work to make those add up.
Despite what it seems like, when you look at a keyword research utility, there really are only so many long-tails for any given niche, and at some point, you have to start getting really creative, and you have to find multiple venues for lower-level content that has any kind of value, in terms of impressions.
1633636295507.png

So, you can't just do one thing forever, I'd argue.
Most of my experience, to-date, has been with these low to midrange terms, and that's enough to make a living, but I have come to realize that there is a better configuration.
I think it makes sense to focus on building a small number of super high-quality pieces of content for the most high-level terms, and then as you do your short form content, you use those to point into your higher level content.
1633636461465.png

It's not a new strategy, by any means.
Personally, I just haven't even attempted any larger terms for my projects, because it always just seemed like a waste of time, but at some point, that's all that is left.
So, build your authority content... maybe just a few pieces, and then you can focus on using your short form content to boost your power pages, so-to-say.
1633636627213.png

You do both, but you set them up to work together.
There's also something to be said for the fact that more authoritative content has the ability to stand on its own.
If you can make something that can sell to your traffic, then you can technically spend less time waiting for profitability, if you use other traffic sources while waiting for your SEO.

It depends on the niche and the model, etc, as some sites, like maybe image sharing sites, would benefit more from volume, but even then, you'd still have a small number of money pages, maybe with a strong headline, and multiple high-quality images, designed to rank for a big term.
Then, all of your lesser image shares would go to juice your money pages.
I think it works for any model, even models that focus on volume.

I do not know, as i use my own self hosted domains instead of putting my content on other domains like instagram where 5 million cvompetitors are lurking to steal my followers. But good SEO? Content is kind, post title and description is king. Useful content gets shared by real people, so make the content useful too. That is true, free, ethical seo. I used to use iinstagram till i saw my shares were stealing my original post search results from my own websites, and instagram, pinterest and FB were standing above my orighinal content on my website, so sharing to big networks from my website is not for me, it steals my google search results, and does not lead people to my product and buy button, rather, to a picture of the product in instagram.. That does not make sales. I speak from the perspective of an ecommerce entrepreneur amongst other things.

wow! thank you tremendously for your post. it was very valuable and i cannot thank you enough for writing this out.

I like your words on having consistent content directed towards the high quality content. i think my strategy now would be to be consistent with a blog and points towards my instagram which would have low post count with high quality.

thank you!

Set up an account on Google Search Console. Add your website and verify ownership. There’s a tool there called URL inspection. Add your new pages to this tool and click “request indexing” easy peasy

oh wow! that is very intriguing to see it from a perspective of an ecommerce entrepreneur. i have considered this route many times but at this point in my journey it is not my main priority / focus.
Content is kind, post title and description is king <---- I LOVE THAT QUOTE
