Hello,

I am really new to SEO and am trying to learn techniques to apply to my e-commerce site. I would like to learn all white hat techniques and don't mind spending the time to build up my business. I sorta need a class or guide that I can use so I can put together a step by step plan on implementing the white hat techniques. Any suggestions?

You don't need any classes.. Start by reading all the sticky threads here in the White Hat SEO section. Then take a look at some of the threads I've shared over the past year - they will give you a solid no bullshit starting point. Then it's really up to you, start putting what you have read and learned here in to action.. test, test, test and then test some more.

You'll find the more you actually do the more you'll begin to understand. Trial and error is how you really learn.. not classes.

^This.
Totally back what Tommy said.
All the golden nuggets are given out here for free. No need for classes.

Indeed I have learnt so much with tommy's threads and finally earning some around 500-1000 per month (Not Much. But that's enough for me for now :) )

Read the forum and you will get a vast knowledge.

You can Learn through IM Journey section, more thread will help to improve you stuff.

It will definitely be worth your time reading through the journey threads to see what has and hasn't work for people. A lot of information is put out there for you for free. Utilize it!

Just stay on here and read the threads and you will be able to learn all about whitehat. This site is a lot better than any class that you could take.

This forum is all you need, there are so many useful threads from which you can learn.

Improve your basic knowledge. Spend your time in BHW forum. What people are doing in here, Follow them, read every single post. You need to be a technical person, then you will understand what actually you will be needed for ranking.

I have found that some of the useful tools have helped make my learning more solid. If you can get a copy of either one of these tools it will help with the learning:
Backlinkbeast
Moneyrobot
Licorne AIO
GSA
XGen SEO
Any of Anthony Hayes products IFTTT Backlink commando, tubebacklink commando, Video.Synd.Alpha

only don't forget time to time read new again and again - just SEO it's very dynamic sphere

Read the forums, all the time. Live information it's all you need.

Above all play to your strengths.
There are a ton of ways of making cash online. Some work better for some niches than others, some work better with certain skill sets than others.
There is certainly no "right way" - and there definitely isn't a "magic button"
Gold is if you find a rich niche with low competition that you are interested in and the best method of promotion you think would fit your skill set.

Start with those metrics in mind, if you find nothing that fits all those, gradually compromise on an aspect and search again until you find a method.

Most guys here are iterative learners. Learn, try, adapt, repeat.

don't "pay and learn"
start " learn and earn" mode!
start reading sticky threads and then use the search option to get info. about specific topic!

Cheers

I second what HoneyHelper said. Especially in the beginning, funnel your capital into the services you need to build your site, not "guaranteed overnight success" systems. You can't even figure out what courses, etc. would actually be worth buying or not until you understand the basics, and there are a lot of great free resources right here.

I'd read them all and learned, but I'm too lazy to do it with my own hand lol.

Read the case study . They are the real HERO here. Learn the points and Take actions :) You can not get sucess until you take actions and get failed !
