New to Membership Sites

Hi,

I've been a member here for quite some time and i have learned a lot through reading and have been helping others whenever i feel i can spread some knowledge. I am new to the Membership site game but i have a niche idea and i know the content like the back of my hand and i also have a passion for it, hence i know the content will be of great quality.

My only issue is, i have no idea how to get started. Ive used Joomla once and ive used wordpress once but ive never really delved far into them.

Wat kind of tools/plugins/platform do u guys recommend is good for something in the gaming niche?I have come up with a great twist on getting gaming traffic and would very much love to be able to apply it.

Wait for Optimize Press 2.0 to come out. Its suppose to be any day now....

if i just started with the current version, would i be able to upgrade to 2.0 without issue?

No apparently you still have to buy the new one...although you might get a bit of a discount. I would wait. Work on getting all of your content ready for your membership site then when version 2.0 comes out then you can worry about putting it together. Optimize Press 1.0 was a beast you can use it for so much stuff cant wait for 2.0!

I think they are offering discounts to upgrade to the new Optimizepress 2.0 but I am not completely sure.

Amember is the best platform IMO but if you have little experience with installing scripts / html / css then I would recommend going with optimize press for wordpress.
