Hi guys,

I'm new to expired domains and SEO in general for that matter, I have read a few articles on SEO and thats about it.
I plan on dropshipping so starting ecommerce with a niche I've had in mind for weeks.
I found a .com domain on expireddomains.net and checked it on moz, it came back with the following:-

DA - 40
PA - 27
Moz Rank - 2.7

I compared around 100 domains which were available and this was the best, but I still don't know if them statistics are good? <-- My first question.
Second is, should I base my branding and entire store around this domain, or sould I use this domain to redirect to my main store??

Again I apologise for these noob questions, but I really would like some advice before I begin.

Thanks.

Check the domain Anchors in Ahrefs and Majestic. Check the domain history in archive.org -> I am 99% sure that is spammed to death..

Not registered to ahrefs or majestic, domain history shows the niche product being sold in 2011-2013 then 301 redirected 2016-2017.

What was it 301'd to?

Another website in my niche which appeared to be selling fakes of some sort. Would this be why no one snapped this domain up? I assume its worthless, the website it redirected to appears to have been taken down and a notice served.

Yeah, don't touch that domain.

Yeah, don't touch that domain.

Too late, I've bought it. Lol.
Guess I'll just not do anything with it, I only paid $1 so haven't lost much.
Thanks, just out of curiosity, as the domain is now in my name, surely that must mean they know its a new registrar so nothing bad should come my way right?
