New to Blogging..need resources for beginners. Please help!

I came to this forum while searching for good resources to hep me start Blogging for money(Just had a financial setback, and my family must not starve). I am an electrical engineer with good computer knowledge but i need step by step guide that will help me get it right within 2weeks at the most. I am completely new to this, but i am very good at learning, and i have a strong determination to succeed. I will appreciate your help/suggestions. Thank you

Your either a genius or completely foolish if you think that you can "get it right" within 2 weeks at most (but I guess it depends on your definition of 'get it right'). Creating a blog that can make money is something that takes at least a few months. Most of the popular blogs you see now have been in the game for a very long time.

My only advice is to use whatever skills you already have, and blog about it, make high quality tutorials that don't exist already, and begin scouring sites like smartpassiveincom and quicksprout and see exactly how these type of bloggers were able to get where they are today. Also, to speed things up, listen to as many internet marketing podcasts as possible while driving/working out.

Obviously trying to get his post count up to a certain point.

Reported. Boosting post count like that is against the rules.

Saw a few of them last night from different user names same thread. They were 0-100 post counts.
Thought it was me and didn't want to send my only proof which was that guy just copied that guy...
Will call them bots out next time.

as you said you want to generate money from blogging.Then just forget about making money at first.Just learn blogging ,publish posts on the niche(expert at something).The trafiic increases then you can start money making.Blogspot is best for beginners

Why you did not create a blog talk about electrical engineer? based on your knowledge or experience. But, search high keyword by using google keyword planner

tutvid and wordpress also youtube turorial on how to set up wordpress forums.

As you said you are an electrical engineer and know about computer too Then why not you write about electrical engineering or make the video related to electrical engineering. You can earn by uploading the informative videos on YouTube. It is not easy need patient and lots of hard work.

Buy domain and hosting ,install wordpress and write about your interest. don't copy from others and do seo...

yes, "get it right" within 2 weeks seems impossible, and people here already summed it up
basically make an original content based on your expertise, and hopefully traffic will come asap
i made my blog 6 months ago and still dont have any stable traffic

Another tip besides extensive knowledge: Be passionate about your content. If you find yourself sighing throughout the writing process or taking too many breaks that make you happier than the topic, that could be a sign it isn't the topic for you. Not saying that you hate being an electrical engineer or find computers tiring. But it's just one of the things a lot of people forget to remind themselves once they find out they can earn money writing what they know.

I made a blog a year ago and am receiving an alright amount of traffic. I have meh followers, but it's good considering I don't promote my work, like at all. I also don't post often, so that amount is even better. Know that you need to put a lot of your time, effort, and money into blogging. Money is optional, but it helps show your potential readers that you're legit and serious about the stuff you write.

If you're going to blog, don't forget to use keywords! Keywords help so much with receiving traffic/fans. I have a feeling that could be one of the very few reasons why my fanbase exists in the first place. Besides the super-duper content, of course.

I would say, create your own pages based on what you feel like covering and keep up with what ever relevant news you are going to be blogging about. Thats what i do and im pretty shocked at the amount of views i get a day. Its nothing impressive but its more than what i thought i would get.
