New to blogging - Help with my first blog

What free blog service would be good for a small niche and would be easy to set up advertisements around it? I'm just starting on the internet marketing thing and I'm also looking for good CPA network recommendations. My game plan is sort of worked out, but I have no experience with websites.

Blogspot or Wordpress would be an easy choice as most people say, but since I'm not going to get a domain and would rather stick to a free service to start with, I'm having a hard time deciding which would work better.

Any help and links would be appreciated :)

why wouldnt wordpress work?
 
I think it doesn't matters.. or if you want to promote some adult sites then you can check out thumblogger also
 
they will strip the links out of a free wordpress but i do like wordpress also
 
try hubpages or squidoo, i think they have the ability to monitize without setting up adsense or anything. pay is crap but you will learn a bit
 
Blogger or Wordpress free should do fine. Read the TOS to see what you can do.
 
one of my niche sites on blogger got deleted a few months ago.the blog contained full of unique content but one thing i did wrong was the titles were laser targeted to keyword phrases.That is the only reason blogger banned the blog and deleted it.400 blog posts,countless hours were gone waste.So,be informed about it.
 
Get a free domain from co.cc and free hosting from freehostia.com. And you can install wordpress or any other blogging platform you want. Use Elepante Script in the freehostia cpanel, you can choose from a lot of platform and its very easy to install and customize.
 
I suggest you to just invest a little and buy some hosting virtual plan and a .info domain.
Free services are unreliable, don't try to invest much on these because one day to another, you can get royally screwed.

Treat this as a business.
 
Personally I like blogger and wordpress, since google owns blogger they favor with ranking. But personally I think if you plan on hosting your own blog you might want to get used to messing with wordpress. I think wordpress platform is a lot better and more organized.
 
Word press is definitely nicer looking and more professional than blogger. That is for sure. Although, you can't integrate adsense with a free wordpress blog.

If you can try to get into neverblue or copeac. And don't pick the wrong keywords.
 
I would buy domains, don't worry about setting up a "FREE" way as in the end you will normally get screwed!
