Hey BHW,

New user here, so I figured I'd introduce myself properly before jumping into questions.

I come from a technical background – pentesting, server hardening, and managing my own infrastructure. I've got a handful of VPSs and dedicated boxes sitting around that I currently use for testing and automation, but I want to start monetizing them more directly.

Email marketing keeps coming up as a solid path, so that's what I'm here to learn.

I know the technical side cold (SMTP, DNS, IP reputation, security), but the marketing, monetization, and campaign workflows are brand new to me.

What I'm hoping to get out of BHW:

- Recommendations on email marketing software that scales (open to paid tools)
- Real-world workflows from setup to first campaign
- Server config tips specifically for high-volume sending
- Monetization methods that actually work for someone starting out
- A way to avoid the classic beginner traps everyone warns about

I'm not looking for handouts or spoon-feeding. I'll put in the work, test things myself, and report back. Just need some direction from people who've already walked the path.

Thanks for having me. Looking forward to contributing where I can and learning from the vets here.

You're in a good spot starting with the technical side. Most people skip that and burn through domains before they even start

The usual path is setting up warmed domains, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, then picking a sending tool that fits your volume

Start small. Send to a tiny list first. Test. Then scale
