New to affiliate marketing

Hello i know you guy here this all the time but im new to affiliate marketing and i wanted advise on the best affiliate programs to join. I worked with a friend about a year ago and helped him drive his site to the top of google for certain keyword. And im pretty good with web development. But i guess i need some direction and a game plan. I know no one want to give up all the secrets but a push in the right direction would help a lot. I been looking at Rxpayout does anyone know about this program, Or is clickbank better? So many option do want to go down the wrong road!!!!!
