New site=Trouble ranking

Hey guys so i just bought a new domain and put up a site about a month ago. This site is going to be an authority site so ive been creating articles each targeting an individual keyword. So far the articles have only bee targetting some pretty low comp keywords with 0 results when searching allintitle: keyword. However my site still doesn't achieve top rankings..maybe spot 8,9,or 10. I've got about 50 articles so far and each are low first page high second. Do you think with age these articles will rank to the top. I think this is what happened with my first site which i started a few years back. Just wanted to know. Thanks a bunch
