Hi folks,

I launched 2 new sites about a month ago at the same time.

One of them is in a med competition niche and showed up on page 3 straight away and has stayed there with no off page SEO.

Another in a low - med niche showed up at number 40 for a few days and has now dropped out of the top 500 nowhere to be seen. I then built 10 strong PBN links with varied anchors and it is still not showing up. Sites on page 2/3 have no links at all and are not optimised so I am really stumped. I compared my site to the number 1 ranking site for the on page especially and I have the same amount of content with less links but that doesn't matter as I am not even in the top 500. I am indexed in Google btw.

Something seems wrong because usually my sites are in the top 100 with just on page but I think I have thought of everything! Anyone any other ideas?

Is your site mobile optimized.. So the Mobile Smash in on the way

Give it some more time....build gradually HQ backlinks. It will come on top slowly.

It's common for new sites showing up on serp at start and disappear after few days. Just keep update the content and do some off page optimization. You can try search your website without extension in google, if your site doesn't shows up then there might be some algorithmic hit.

If your website is new then optimized with diversified sources such as web 2.0s, high pr profiles, business listings, social media and when those links getting indexed then go with blog network links. If you trying to give direct milkshake of combined fruits to newly born baby then obviously vomiting on the way, so start with basics and then go further.

I have a page on my site that wont show up on google at all

My page has over 80 backlinks, perfect onpage, and the domain is about 3 months old.

This is the first time I ever seen something like this, the keyword is not hard so im lost as to why it wont rank.

I have over 6 other pages ranking on this site with 2-3 at number one.

For new sites, it may take a while for your site to come into the SERPs if it is already not ranking (this goes for all new websites building links for the first time). Make sure you nail your onpage seo and then build links from authority sites (you need to balance power with trust).

Something similar happened with one of my website, I think google "don't like" some sites, this is something random... This is my guess, maybe I'm wrong!

1) Don't hire anyone to make cold calls for you until you have got at least 1 client from cold calling. This will at the very least give you reasonable expectations of your new employee. At best, it might give you the hope you need to keep cold calling yourself.

2) No chance you should be outsourcing SEO if you said that you yourself do not know much about it. You cannot guide an outsourcer well if you don't know HOW to guide them or don't know any proven methods. At the very least, buy a few well regarded services here on BHW and track their results. If they work, then copy their plan/work and give the oursourcer that plan to follow.

3) You have no previous SEO work to show. No problem. Make a new domain and website. Rank it for a few easy, local, long tail keywords. Put this on your site as a testimonial.

4) I don't see anything bad with this idea.

5) That's all for now !
