New site on the same server as the penalized one, any issues?

Hey everyone. It finally happened – Google penalized my AI site a few days ago, which had been growing for 9 months. I was even surprised, thinking, "Why hasn't this dumb site been banned yet?"
But that's not the point, it was just an experiment.
Anyway, I was already considering creating a new, legitimate site with human-written content. Now, I'm wondering if it's okay for it to be on the same server with the same IP? Another thing is that I added the AI site to Search Console, and of course, I'll add this new one too. It's in a completely different niche.

Could I face any issues, or is it fine?

In my experience, there should be no problems. An IP address is penalized only as a last resort. The main thing is that you should have a new domain.

Use Cloudflare and you will hide your ip without problems

Cloudflare is not really helping unless you know how to mask your site properly. There's a site which is finding the server domain, and trust me Google can find it.

OP - why risking it and not just purchasing a new server?

Officially Google doesn't state that the sharing a server IP with a penalized site would lead to penalties. but it's a risk that's best to be avoided. The algorithm might associate the two sites and negatively impact the new one. Also, having sites on two servers can isolate issues and prevent them from affecting both the sites. Regarding search console, adding both sites is fine as long as both are in different niches. Hope this helps!

It is better not to host a new website on the same server/IP. Google might track patterns, especially if it’s a manual penalty, and associate them even if the content is different.

Sometimes the IP could be restricted too (rarely though). But still, I recommend you buy a different server just in case
