    Hey Guys

I'm finally starting to act and learn more about IM.

Can any pros tell me why I can see my site when I use site:examplesite.com, but can't find it anywhere when I search for my keywords?

    Looked through all 54pages :(

When you use site:yoursite.com it only displays indexed pages of your site but when you search for keywords it displays results based on ranking...

I believe your site is not ranking for those keywords for which you are searching...

Ranking is different from indexing even your site is indexed it may not appear for the keyword phrase you searched.you may got a penalty, there may be may reasons
1:you may be using duplicate content so google will not rank you for that keyword
2:your website may contain many affiliate links
3:your site may be sandboxed or may be google dance or may be a kind of penalty

Hmmm... I probably have been penalized then.

I used the 3000backlink rapid indexer tool. Is it this that got me penalized?
Amazon links might also be the problem.

    Another question:

Does google immediately rank your site for your keywords when you are indexed?
Or do they index you and then slowly add you to ranks?

These questions must be pretty dumb to some of you guys. Sorry.

While Google does rank your site that does not mean it ranks you anywhere near the top. Getting indexed does not really mean anything at all what you need to do is build you some targeted links using the correct anchor text for your keywords.

Before you get started a couple of questions.

Did you do any niche research before building your site?
What kind of traffic does you target keywords have?
What kind of competition does your target keywords have?

it usually takes some time to rank for your keywords, especially if you have heavy competition. pay attention to what's popping up when you search your keywords. also, maybe you need more posts pertaining to your keywords. mention your keywords more x in your posts so it carries a little more weight.
