I have had a site up for about 3 months. I have only done minimal backlinking and even before the page would make quick page 1 appearance on all the search engines. I know this is probably a good sign but its also in a very competitive niche, so what is going on?
New site, few backlinks already making page 1 appearances?

what do you mean what is going on? you are ranking, that is what's going on. how many links in YSE do you have man? i am guessing that your on page seo is pretty good. simply keep up what you are doing so you can always increase your rankings.

I asked this because I have another page with same the same layout and seo strategy that did have a good run and dropped off into space a few days ago. When I say it only makes a couple appearances I mean that literally, 1 to 2 a day but thought it was crazy to see that with almost no seo work. I won't share the niche but I can tell you it's searches have almost went up 10 fold in the last several months.

but everyone would be interested in your strategies I guess...I am still trying to figure out my strategies myself. I have used the same strategy for all my sites. But one won't move past page 2, the other one never ranked on G but ranked high on Y and B. This one I was going to use the same strategy but am contemplating that now since it is occasionally showing up on page 1. Maybe start with some high PR backlinks?
