So I created a blog with the hopes of making profit off of Clickbank. I was wondering if you guys could take a glance at it and tell me if you think it looks marketable. I used the whole weight loss niche, chose a product that I think will work well, used trigger words and phrases, and I even grabbed a fake timeline photo of "me" losing weight.

theheightofloss <-- You will have to put that in for a wordpress link. BHW won't let me post links yet because apparently I haven't been a member long enough yet.

What do you guys think? Does it look good for something I came up with in the past 10 minutes?

Sorry but this blog is horrible.
It's good that you've taken action, but you made a lot of mistakes.
You should read through the forum a little bit and star again.

    Good luck!

Maybe elaborate on what's "horrible" about the blog he made so he knows what to change up.

If I were you this is what I would do:

    • Maybe have to before and after pictures in the background instead of the huge drink. At first glance I thought it was a blog dealing with wine.
    • Remove the bottom footer with advertising the theme and wordpress.
    • Keep updating your blog like a real person is writing about their daily struggles using the program and have pictures of their progress for each post.
    • And have some interaction with the blog via comments.
    • Shorten the clickbank link because if I were someone on your blog I wouldn't want to click on a link like that. I'm not sure if wordpress can do redirects for links but if it can set it up like theheightofloss.wordpress.com/drcharles or something like that.

It's a bit of work and might take some time but you should be able to convert.

@dan92 because he wants it to look like an average customer is writing this blog

    As already stated:
    - change the background picture to something with weight loss
    - shorten your clickbank link. You can use tinyurl.
    - remove "Meta tags" and "Categories" from the navigation bar to make it easier to navigate. It is confusing right now.

    Now I have a question.
What if someone finds out that you are just selling the clickbank product and that you are not this person on the picture and that you actually never lost any weight with this product, and he/she takes this to the court.
    What will happen?

I am not trying to scare you, but I actually want to know the answer to this question. What can happen in the worst case scenario?

First you should get yourself a hosted wordpress site. I my opinion and no offense, the whole set up you have is just not something that will convert, What I did to find what works and what doesn't, is to look at what others are doing and then experiment with my own site. Build multiple small sites with not to much work put in to them and then run tests on the sites to see if you can get any convention at all from them, when you do this make sure you are sending good qualified traffic to your sites. If the sites doesn't produce anything then scrap the the wordpress theme and design and move to the next rinse and repeat until you get some convention from your setup and design.

After you find a site that converts in to cash make small changes to the site to improve sales, remembering the changes that you have made, the reason for this is because I have has site that convert and then changed something as small as image or a pay button and then the conversion stopped. Always make sure that you can change things back if needed.

It is also imperative to find a traffic source that will have good qualified buyers that are looking for what you are trying to sell, if you just spam the hell out of social media and and pray for a sale, you will have a lot of praying to do and your sales will be far and few between.

Generation Y just aren't falling for these marketing tactics anymore. We grew up around these single page sales pages promoting the next weight loss product. It's the same as those "make your penis larger" products. Are you going to buy any? Come on, seriously guys tell me if you have ever bought a weigh loss product from ClickBank before? There needs to be a better way of selling to Generation Y. I believe that is by using video, but I'm sure in the next few years there are going to be a lot of changes to how we go about IMing.

Well done for taking action btw.
