new seller in ebay, is it bug or ?

Hi guys,

as a new seller, i understand my selling quota is quite limited.
i keep on getting error -->"You've reached the selling allowance for the number of items which you can list. New sellers are allowed 10 (active + completed) listings or listings with aggregate value of up to $500 worth of (active + completed) items per 30-day period."

I just have 2 listing at the moment, each with amount is <$10 (1 and 20 quantity)
i sum up the total is just about $200.
i tried to add slightly more quantity but it telling my limit reach.
to my surprise, when i tried to reduce the quantity from 20 to 10, i got the error too.

not sure is it a bug or some known issue ?

it's 10 items per month (listed + sold). If you've sold 8 items, are only allowed to list 2 more that month.

problem is i have not sold anything.. =(

multiple quantity in one item listing also counts against your limit. If you have quantity set as 8 on one listing, that counts as 8 items listed, not 1

Because there are multiples it doesn't count as one

If the limits are not enough, either call in to eBay to get the raised or buy a seller account with a high selling allowance.
