New Rule Suggestion: Warn people replying to Mummies.

Not limited to the newest members of BHW, but to everyone who is bumping mummy thread should lead into a warning IMHO. Mostly new users are bumping necro threads without any reason.

Just my 2 cents.

I think that could be fair if there was a warning message near the reply box that warned them to only reply if it's relevant.

There may be times when it's acceptable to reply to an evergreen old thread, or people might be using the search function to find what they need and not realize the dates.

Sometimes newbies use search, but search by relevancy not by most recent post. We tend to close these threads and advise them.
Longer serving members though should know better.

If it's clearly a new account bumping old threads trying to offer services, then report these and we can action warnings.

Necrobumping, like on most forums, is treated as an etiquette rather than a rule.

@MisterF already answered this, but to add a bit more to it, if they're posting irrelevant comments in the thread or it's spam (this includes post count inflation), report it.
