New Product Launch- Day 1.

Hello guys,

This will be my first ever post about a new product that I invented and how I am going to market it. I will be posting weekly updates on what ive been up to.

A little about me. I am a 28 year old young entrepreneur who has already created one successful product that I have sold to over 75,000 customers nation and worldwide.

I am a thrifty guy who doesnt like to pay a lot for services that I believe can be done for cheaper with better output. I bootstrapped the first business I did with $5k and brought it to revenues, but that product is slowly going downhill and has stopping making the money it was 3 years ago. still makes around $30-50k per year.

I am in the gag gift niche.

I am making this to get my motivation back and start getting back on the GRIND.

So far:

I have already hired a 3D engineer to create the CAD designs for the injection mold and will be putting the downpayment ($14k for the mold (which is based in China) and another 17k for the initial 2500 units.

I will go into costs and what I use for shipping and what not. Let me know what you guys want to learn or know more about and I will get back to you

Alright guys, sorry about the long delay.

I am currently set up using Instaliker for instagram and twitter. I am going to mainly focus on instagram. I have bought 25 accounts and I have 5 private proxies that I am using. I am going to run 2-5 insta accounts at a time until they start going. I am buying followers to make the accounts look legit. These will run 8am-8pm. I am only logging in from my work ip address when I start them ( I am sorta anal about these things)

So far I have built the website using shopify (cost is around $150 and I used my founders card discount to get 30% off there services for the whole year)

I use shipstation to import all my orders from Amazon, Ebay, and my Shopify store. If you guys have questions about shipstation, its one of the best services I use at around $75/month.

The prototypes from China get in on the 22nd (a bit of a delay since they were supposed to arrive on the 15th... always include this on your leadtime for all my project managers out there)

Once they come in, I will take lifestyle images so I can use the for fb/instagram ads ect.

I set up a presale for my product for 20% off. So far no one has bought, but I have not spent $1 on marketing yet.

SUPER EXCITED to say the last about the prototype coming in and my 3D engineer to approve. Sorry for jumping around everywhere. Will update on how well the instagram accounts are doing ect.

Why not oberlo rather than shipstation? So much cheaper and does the same thing I think

I work with a lot of 3rd party retailers and shipstation makes it easy to import csv files. Honestly I've never tried anything other than shipstation just because how user friendly it is But thank you for the rec!

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay! Just got two prototypes in from China. Both cost around $400.00 each. But I negotiated with the manufacture and got them both for free

Met with my 3D engineer and he says everything looks good. After he approves, he is going to go over with the manufacture in China some details about how to ultrasonic weld the two pieces together. (I make really dumb flasks) So they need to be molded together so no liquid comes out.

I am currently still running my Instagram bots. I am following around 200+ people today, and getting around 38 of the 200 to follow back. So around 20% conversions which is great!

The next move is I am going to create a video that hopefully will go viral on fb. I will be cold emailing a ton of publishing companies offering a free product in exchange for a write up. When I was doing my first product, I would do this and the returns were great and I really didnt pay a dime out of my pocket for what I got out of each exchange. I remember I worked with a huge publishing firm and they posted my product on one of their articles and I made 5k+ in a day. So hopefully it goes just as well.

More updates to come on what im working on etc.

No I did not use VAs, I do use people for $2/hr to scrape instagram/news accounts ect. But i did all the outreach myself because its very important to me that the outreach gets done correctly!
