I kinda like both the versions but I personally use the newest one. Photoshop 7 was damn fast.

Well I'll take advantage of the bump. The first version of Photoshop I ever "acquired" was PS7. I learnt almost all I know about photoshop with it.

Compared to CS6, I can't say I've noticed many hugely groundbreaking differences. For basic photoshopping, background removal, colour correction, airbrushing etc, I think even the old versions of PS should work just fine for the average user.
