The site made me change my password twice. Once bc it was 43 days old and today again bc it was 2 days old.

This normal?

wtf?

It's been done as a security measure. mods and admins are very aware of it - and if we weren't the 43 messages about it before this one would have brought it to our attention.

I had to change it so i am in that is what counts

In other words security on BHW sucks. Or BHW has become a target by
a rogue group of genius hackers for some apparent reason.

At this point I would prefer that someones breaks into my account
rather than change my password every other day.

I keep changing my password back and forth between the 2 same passwords
over and over. There is no way I'm going to create a new password everytime
and save it if I'm just gonna have to change it a couple days from now. So
thats not exactly helping security if you ask me. You can ask me to change my
password 50 times but I'm still using the same 2 passwords over and over.

Maybe you can require that people have longer passwords?

Or give them an option not to change their PW? With a small disclaimer?

I don't know. I understand you guys are working on it but the current solution
doesn't seem like much of a solution at all.

Where is your multi million page view a month community running on a few dedicated boxes showing up as page 1 in SERPS for multiple keywords using a readily available paid for source code that helps thousands of members make a living on a daily basis? Oh right you don't have one. If you even attempted to run a site of this magnitude you probably couldn't even get passed a http request

I should imagine that BHW is under constant attack, from various places for various reasons.
It is clear there has been some kind of problem and it appears Admin are trying to deal with it.
Better to have the hassle of changing your password more often recently, than trying to login and finding your account has been hijacked.

It's a non issue guys - use a secure password and you won't be asked to change it as often.
