New Niche Website Deployment Question

Hello BHW,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I have gotten into the niche website game pretty recently and have already launched a few word-press sites with promising results.

Recently, I have started questioning the best method for deploying a new website to achieve the best results with Google indexing.

I would like to know what the BHW community feels is the best way for deploying a new niche website with limited information and a one time 30-50 page content update.

For example: You develop a niche content site locally on a development box with all the possible content you would ever release on that site.

How would you release to the WWW?

• Would you upload your entire content catalog in a single day and then begin your SEO building campaign techniques; link building, article submission, etc.?
• Would you only upload a few key pages, then space the rest of the content to be deployed one page a day until no further content is added before beginning your SEO campaign?

I realize Google values websites that update frequently in its page rankings. However, when dealing with niche sites that don't have frequently new information added this can be difficult.

Your feedback is appreciated.

I personally feel it's better to space things out a bit. If it's a fresh domain, I usually throw in about 3-4 good articles at "launch" then add new content every so often after I do some solid link building. (so i have more things index and to deep link gradually)

IMHO you're absolutely right, Google does love fresh content and I think it'd be best to update the site over time with new articles. (without relying greatly on things like internal commenting for "updated content" for example)

But again, that's just my personal preference for highly focused micro niche sites.

What you guys think is the best frequency to update sites? I dont want to run out of content fast
