I need some input if possible.

Going to start a total new website from scratch, selling some service and stuff.

Now I was wondering would you use an existing domain (has never been used before, just parked) from 2007 which is 5 letters.com domain and which don't contain any part of the keyword or would you register a new domain name that contains part of the keyword and is an .com

It is a very competive niche, ranking there get's hard but not impossible.

Any input is much appreciated.

No one knows please?

Just use it and see. If it doesn't work use it as a 301 redirect to a newer domain name.

i would go ahead and give the older domain you have a shot. There are a ton of sites that are ranked for domain names that have nothing to do with the niche that they are in.

best of luck

Well, use of existing domain should work fine. You may gain some link juice and rankings from the domain. However the effects wont be as good as new domain name that contains part of the keyword. Do some homework before you purchase any domains. Also make sure that the domain could ranks well within your niche.

If you think so, you could purchase the domain and continue to build off of it and utilize its existing rankings and site traffic. Otherwise, I recommend you to go with the new domain name. Best Wishes - BB.

I would prefer going with the new domain. Though the old domain would benefit more seo-wise but the irrelevancy would disturb me all the time but that's just me.

I'm the long run the new domain would be better I'd say

Thanks for all your input.. I will try with the new domain and cross my fingers that this will work.. thanks :)
