Hi guys! I have been reading these forums for about 4 months, browsing and searching through the different threads. I've learned a lot from reading these forums, more then I have learned from any other resource on the internet about affiliate marketing.
I am very interested in getting involved in affiliate marketing, but I am new and the first time I tried, I ended up wasting money on domains and hosting etc, and I am a bit hesitant to start on my own. I would like a second flow of income to free up my budget a little bit, as I am a college student working part-time and paying for my own school.
I learn quickly, but I am not sure what the first few steps towards making money in affiliate marketing are... I am willing to put in time on nights and weekends, or whenever I can, I just want my time to be put to use, rather then all the rambling I have been accustomed to.
Would someone be willing to 'mentor' me in any way? I would love to learn everything I can, and I know that nobody gets rich quick, I just don't want to waste valuable time with my feeble attempts to get started. I am great with web design and quite computer literate, and I work in the marketing department for a publishing company so I am familiar with a larger range of marketing techniques through that job.
Any tips or suggestions, and even better... is there anybody who would be willing to help me through the affiliate marketing door? I would be immensely grateful. Thanks for taking the time to read my post!
