Hello,im new to this site and also i have a new website too (almost 1 week old).

I already read many sites-forums and i end up confused... For example Reddit was a nice suggestion,i was able to finally see 200 visitors (in 2 days) on my site,but i understand that almost all of them will not return,so... I read about Linkspun and Linkbuilder,but im not sure if they are what im looking for. First one seems to have a lot of fake sites and in the second one,most users care to just earn coins for 15 seconds visit.

It seems that i need some specific advices-suggestions on my case... For example link exchange with websites that dont care for PR etc. I hope you can help.

I already have,but i end up with posts that arent for my case.

Plus i wasnt able to add all the info in the msg above,because i got the msg about spam etc and i deleted some things.

Im interested for advices about getting more visitors,keeping visitors,backlinking etc. I saw that here you have some free offers about some of these,but since im new i cant pm.

Anyway of course i will search,but i will appreciate if someone can tell me some things or show me what posts exactly to read.
 
If your site is only one week old don't worry about seo link building yet, start by building up the content of your site, and building pages like a FaceBook fan page, Twitter accounts that focuses on the content of your site, a instagram account for the site (or products of the site) start by posting good content about your site on your fan page with link backs to the site, then move to twitter and start building up a follower base based on the keywords that you use for your site (or similar keywords). Then you can post images of your products on instagram with related tag (and watermarks for the site) and get some followers there also. Make a few tumblr sites that are related to your pages, then fill your picture queue up with pictures and links with hash tags related to your site, and put the pic post speed on drip.

This, and pay attention to onsite SEO. Decrease page load times. Set-up CDN.

About my site...its a site with pics-screencaps of celebs-models,with daily update. I guess you know what im talking about,because internet is full of them. Also i want it to be available locally (small European country) and globally.

I already have some content,the problem at the moment are the visitors. Locally i exchanged links with only one good site of the same category,but like i said above almost all of my visitors are from Reddit (Usa,Uk,Canada). Today i made and a twitter account,but the visitors im getting (Reddit) only care for the photos of the post i linked to.

Your site should do very well with social media traffic because it's about celebs-models, as long as it's not porn, if it's porn then I would mostly target tumblr as your social media outlet for traffic, if it's a site just about celeb gossip and such then all of the social media sites will work wonders for you if applied correctly, go to the social media sites forum and start to learn the ropes on how to drive traffic with specific social media sites.

Dont use the traffic exchangers traffic , most of that traffic comes from bots.
Instead try building your site and then focus on SEO for getting organic traffic.
 
tompots:Its not gossip,just sexy (some will be nude too) photos-videos of celebrities-models and im thinking to add 'uknown girls' in order to have more content etc,but nothing like porn. I may link to porn sites,but thats all...

I will search the promoting through social media. But note that some parts in the site (for example posts) are in my native language,but i use only 1-2 rows of text per post. Post titles-Celebrity names are in English and of course i've included a translator too. Just to give you an idea,in case promoting cant work because of dirrent language etc.

jass11:Yeah i know,i dont trust these sites...im trying to find legit sites for link exchange. But most people demand a specific number of visitors or PR.
 
Are you targeting English speaking visitors? if so I wold translate the pages to English.
 
From what I read you are trying to get more traffic that converts to your website. In my previous experiments and projects
I have known it to be successful to start out with social marketing when the website is young. Make sure you build your Facebook pages and all social media pages. Then spread the word and market it. Building links is important but not this early in the game.
 
Definitely avoid traffic exchanges. Depending on your type of site I'd recommend SEO or PPC.

@Davean: Social media traffic can be good, but it's better suited towards brand building or CPA offer type sites.
 
Im targeting both English and local visitors. I thought to run (from now) a 2nd version of the website in English,but it had many disadvantages. Using English on post titles etc was my back-up plan. It seems to work...better for the foreigns,than the locals though.

About social marketing,i read some posts,but im not sure how i can make it work. Are you guys mean to pay for promoting or using bots etc? If not then how? For example i made a twitter account,but i never used twitter before,neither the people (friends etc) i know...so how i can promote my website from there?

I read about tumblr,pinterest and stumbleupon and i made accounts there and also to websites for pins-likes exchange. But these are all of my options?
 
Cash isnt the problem for now,neither my big goal is to make a lot of money,i know its hard,for other websites-webmasters maybe its easier.

I care about visitors though... I want to know what methonds i should use and if im on the right way. I wouldnt complain if i already had 50 returning visitors per day,after all its only one week. But most times its almost 0,except when im posting on Reddit,then i get like 100-150 for 1 day and then nothing until i post again.
 
I chose better Reddit rooms and in 15 hours i had like 1.200 visitors. I dont know about you,but for me that is a big number.

But i understand that these are not quality visitors-returning visitors. Any suggestions how i can make these visitors to follow me on social media or return back? I have a twitter icon on my website,but nobody followed.

And again i will appreciate any other suggestions...
