New Member......Advice

I'm new to Blackhat...I'm looking to learn some SEO and hopeful I can contribute to the forum in the future. I'm in the real estate industry who has had a website up and running for about 5 or 6 years. I've done alot of CL, pay per clicks and would like to learn some SEO. I'm surrently having my website redesigned, EasternLongislandhomes. If you have any thoughts about SEO or the best tools available for a better understanding. I tried gathering some info about backlinks because I thought this would be a good start....thoughts on where I should start?
