Hey,

Many of the sites I follow that use pure AI content got weird deindex, where all pages with AI content got deindexed, but the site itself and categories did not. Same happened to one of my burner sites, but weirdly enough it didn't happen to all pure AI sites. This has happened in the past 5 days, I am 100% sure it's not manual actions. I tried to search everywhere but found only 2 posts here and on reddit where people got this weird deindex.

Anyone had this happen to them too?

Mine also got deindexed completely. I think of putting an end to it. It doesn't make a lot of sense to run a blog anymore.

Yes, you're not alone in experiencing this peculiar deindexing pattern where only AI-generated content gets removed from Google's index, while the homepage and category pages remain unaffected. This issue has been reported by various webmasters and SEO professionals

When you search with site: do you still have the homepage indexed?

It's really weird, I know one network of AI sites that generate the content in the same exact way, but only 80% of the sites got wiped while 20% is still okay even though they use the same exact "tactic". I wonder what the trigger is.

There's no magic trigger, nor is it considered weird,
That has always been the case with spam, some will stick longer, all will vanish eventually,

Google algo is not black and white, there are plenty of false positives, trash sites getting better, and genuine hq sites vanishing,
It's all about how often it occurs, and Google has been totally messing things up for the last couple of years

Homepage is gone. Only some random pages and some image links
