I can afford one but choose to pick what suits my needs better and for my main computers it’s a pc with windows on it.
My friend does lots of music and video editing he has a Mac because it he says it suits his need.
So I think it’s totally people preference not their bank balance.
Also I think Samsung out sell Apple phones.

I can afford a mac but prefer windows, so do a lot of people I know.

Same here. I would never buy a Mac even if I had millions to spend. I simply prefer Windows or Linux.

So the only reason to choose Windows over Mac is because of the purchasing power when it comes to assembling of the machine?
