new laptop

Well Christmas is nearing its end and I'm left with a ton of giftcards, mostly best buy buy. I have a $400 worth. I've decided to put it towards a new laptop. I think its the best investment I can make if I want to take IM seriously. So i'll probably spend upwards of $600 if necessary.

My problem is I'm a novice when it comes to specifications. Any recommendations for the "best buy" i can get to handle a fair share of uploading, image editing, video branding and running auto scripts etc. No gaming will be going on with it. So any help will be appreciated.

I think I definitely 250g min, but what kind of processor do I really need? I'm not doing too much high tech stuff, so this is where I get confused. I was hoping to keep it under 600.
