New Laptop Worries.. anyone else?

yesterday i spent ?1,000 on a new HP envy laptop. And it is amazing.
but because it is in such an amzing condition i am almost afraid to use it, i'm treating it like a new born baby, washing my hands before touching it, afraid to out it on my lap, and nervous about using the touchscreen feature because i know finger smudges are inevitable..

Does anyone else do the same when they get a new laptop ? i'm sure once i'v got used to it i'll use it a bit more freely, but for now it is my baby and i will no let any harm come to it!

This is common behavior, but only lasts until you drop it or spill your coffee on it.

Ease it into its rough life. But its always goo to keep it clean and made sure its protected with a case or what ever. I hoover my laptop

I still treat my Galaxy S3 like that, and it's over a year old. I'm not as OCD with everything though. My laptop is missing two keys, and has french toast under the spacebar.

You'll be fine after your fist scuff. If you're that fussed, get insurance. I'd get it anyway actually, for something like that.

yeah i actually purchased 3 years product care. its just i'v never spent so much on anything before, and if i drop it, i'll be dropping my business partner..

You need to break it in gently. Watch some porn and after it has some stains on it, you won't be so worried.
Just watch out for the keyboard.

I do it all the time, doesn't matter if it's new or old.
The main reason why technology in my house lasts longer than the average user.

hehe, it's all right. u're treating ur new born baby the right way most people treat them the same way like u do, but there are "HULK" guys among us, who do all kind of stuff on it and with it. i have a 4.5 years old laptop and still treat it nicely maybe because it's the only one i have

I'm the same way but after the forth week I'm not so careful no more. I do care if someone else messes with it. I'm the only that can treat it like a bitch.
