Just wanted to say hi.
I started in SEO around 1997. Got out around 2000.
Now I'm playing around with it again. Been messing around for 6 months or so now.

It's interesting how things have changed. Google didn't exist back when I was last in it.
My best exploit was a server-side script that would detect if a visitor was a search engine(VIA IP address) and serve up keyword dense webpages to it if it was, or human readable webpages if it was a human visitor. The search engines just worked on keyword density with some metrics on keyword to text ratio. Very simple stuff.

Now it seems like it's almost 100% about banklinks (Page rank, outbound links, etc)?
