Hi guys, I'm cebrux and I will be joining you here on BHW to dabble in the SEO tactics out there today. After browsing these forums for several weeks, I decided to jump into IM, completely motivated by the community here.

I am about to start my first project/journey, and was wondering what others would recommend. Should I start my IM journey monetizing a niche site with Adsense, or should i focus on an Amazon affiliate site?

I will eventually do both so I can learn as much as I can, but any advice for a first time IM project?

My background is in programming, so I am quite tech savvy, and I have been following BHW for a while now. So feel free to lay on the thick tech talk if you need. Thanks guys.

    Cheers.

I am in the same boots as you and have started building amazon review websites. From what I have read on this forum I feel that one should first try to get going with amazon first and later adsense will be a good option.

Hey man. Congrats on making a start! I've built a few niche sites based on ClickBank and Commission Junction products and I've just found them to work better than amazon and adsense sites. Although I have seen many people have some very good profits from these kind of sites too, but they just didn't work for me. The thing about IM is finding something that works well for you and then scaling up!

Best of luck for your IM endeavours mate :)

Adsense and Amazon are both equally good for starters, by choosing either one(I don't have a preference, really) you'll get a good feel for the ecosystem and you'll eventually look for more info here as you go. Good luck and welcome!

Even for those that have been long in the game, it's best to start out in BHW by reading and lurking for a while. Knowledge is after all your best tool in this game. Try reading the sticky posts on most of the topics and "then" start asking the vets. PM is more apt then actually posting a random question on the threads. Patience, perseverance, and dedication that will get you where you want to go. Always remember why your doing what your doing. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer those that I can. Mind you I'm also starting out in this forum. Been here only since May. But I'll try to help out the best way I can. Add me in your contacts or friends list to keep me handy. Best of luck on your venture. :)

Both adsense and amazon are good. Try both? :p See what works for you
