New here, but not to marketing

Hey guys, glad to find this site! I've been doing marketing for 14 years, even have a degree in it. Glad to find this site, it's been giving me the much needed edge in my profession, like I've been missing something all these years. You guys are awesome and I'm glad to join up and be a part of this incredible community.

Welcome to our world. A world of information not written in textbooks but learned and shared by members that have been in the trenches for years. While a textbook is a great way to get a jump-start and general idea of how things should work; trench warfare is where the action is.

Take your time, find a marketing niche and start reading. Don't try to do it all or you won't do any of it. I like e-commerce with specialty in drop-shipping. Others like affiliate marketing. Some CPAs, some email spamming, other's Craigslist, some Facebook and on and on. Find a niche and dive in. Focus on that marketing niche and stay after it. Expect to fall down a few times and know you're only beat when you don't get up.
