Hi everyone,

I'm on the payroll for developing PHP apps somewhere in the Netherlands. I am pretty talented and landed a good job. It's bothering me more and more to just trade my time for money while someone else determines the what, when and how. The pay is decent and the business is very corona and recession proof ... but it will never scale up to something big. The outlook just does not get my dick hard!

The upside: I work 32 hours so i can keep the job and still have time to build a business on the side. I have some money to spend too. I can work hard, have good knowledge on WordPress, PHP and MySQL. I moved a lot so I speak 3 languages and I'm actually a fairly talented writer. I'm interested in IM and honestly have no excuses for not giving it a good shot!

For years I have read about niche sites, keyword research, affiliate marketing etc. but never took action. Today I found a niche and secured a good domain. I have occasionally read the BHW forums but it took until now to finally join. I'm hoping I will contribute something good every now and then and maybe receive some help or discover a good deal here and there.

That's it for now. No questions yet, just touching base and digesting information and maybe connect with some of you.

Welcome to the club, mate :) I was a PHP developer (+ html/css, js) for about 10 years, and I was doing internet marketing in and out for many years. Then I played with paid traffic: pops and then push notifications ads. Push notifications started work for me really, really well, after about 2 years of trying, so I quit my job as a developer and I do IM full time now - running paid ads and building a good info product lately.

Hey Sam,

That's a great man I'm glad it worked out for you the way it did. I'm aware of the push notifications as a user though I've never set it up for a site .. something to look into. Now that I think of it, it seems very low barrier compared to newsletter subscriptions.

Good luck working on and launching that info product!

Good luck. Sounds like you have all the tools necessary to get started and give it a good go.

Nice. I'm a full stack dev working on doing the same. Good luck too you!
