NEW google update to keyword tool

Well prob not that new. But i just noticed they have an estimate traffic tool under the keyword research tool

The only difference is if you are trying to search your own keywords this is AWESOME. Because with the kw research if you were trying to find the searches for your own keywords the only thing you could do to get close is to put "include keyword" then it would give you your kws and u would have to manually sort them out but the results would be lower

So this is awesome. If you need to check your keywords searches per month. Course a NOTE TO ALL: The searches are on Broad on traffic estimator.

So what you need to do is open excel put [ in column 1 keyword in column2 and ] in column 3, then copy paste to notepad, replace spaces with no space.

So you have [keyword] then you can use that to find the keyword on exact match. Apparently [ ] DIFFERS from " " which i thought was exact match . Strange eh.

One kw was 1900 on broad 1300 with " " and 590 with []

Will it be valuable for you if I say "Login to adwords account to see 800-1000 results which is 5-10 times more than the old KWT"?

U want a good PAID tool, why you have too much money and dont know what to do with them? Just freakin login to your adwords account...
 
I don't understand about this traffic estimate , i try out and it shows zero visitors a day but arund 2000 a month?
 
Google is slowly phasing out the usefulness of their keyword tool. Its true, now you only get up to 100 results if not logged in and up to 1000 results while logged in but the results are biased.

At the recent SMX conference, Google announced that the only words they will show results for are results they consider to be commercial. Which means you are only seeing the results that Google wants you to see, probably based off of words they know have a high click through rate.
This makes sense considering Google gets paid each time someone clicks your ad, so this is just a way for them to improve their money stream from Adwords.

Perfect example is to a Key Word search on Facebook and you'll see very limited results. My friend got 8 results, and only received 4. Im sure there are more then 4 words being searched daily in regards to Facebook.

Wordstream and WordTracker are both very good paid KW tools, and paid looks like the only way to go with the direction Google is heading.
 
I have found google keywords tool to be less and less reliable. I have been finding good keywords with mnf.
 
G's new KY tool is HORRIBLE! Check out this thread (courtesy of WizGizmo) for an interesting site that pulls from G's KY tool but seems a little more user friendly.

So does Google only cut back on the keywords (for the mentionend commercial reason) when showing results in their own keyword tool? Do other tools like this Keyword Eye that use the Google API also suffer from this restriction?
How do other tools like MNF and MS get their keyword results? Isn't this only possible when you own a search engine and can base your keyword analysis on the data you can get from your search engine?
 
The traffic estimator tool is not that great from an organic search stand point because it estimates your traffic for Adwords.

Organic search gets about 70-75% of the traffic on average, but the traffic estimator only deals with the 25-30% of PPC traffic.

An easy way to roughly est. the organic traffic much more accurately is to just look at the exact match of your KW, then multiply that number by 70-75%.

For example, if your KW gets 1000 searches a month, you can estimate that 700-750 searches will go to Google's organic listings. Therefore, the more spots you own in Google for your KW, the more of that 700-750 you can potentially get to your site.
