new google keyword tool sucks cock

You can still go to the old interface.

Just dont log in and fill in the captcha

Works for me

Seems about the same to me. Just took some time to get use to everything. Although it does appear that you can no longer do Exact, phrase, or broad searches?

Just a tip for everyone who might not be able to get it to load. When I have my AdBlock Google extension activated on that page it will not load the keyword planner. Works when you turn it off though.

Not a big of the new planner but it's not a big deal.

You can still do exact searches, just put your keywords in square brackets e.g. [keywords here]

You should get exact match data by default

From google:

No match type data for search volume

With Keyword Tool, we showed you broad match statistics by default with the ability to get data for other match types, like phrase and exact match. But with Keyword Planner, you'll get historical statistics only for exact match. To decide what match type to use, add the keyword idea to your plan and review the traffic estimates for each match type. This change will help you get an accurate estimate of how much traffic you can expect to get with different match types. There's quite a bit of overlap between broad and phrase match keywords, and the search volume statistic in Keyword Tool didn't take that overlap into account. Traffic estimates like click and cost do take this overlap into account, so checking those can help you decide which match type to use.

For example, let's say your keyword is dark chocolate. If you want to check that keyword's average monthly searches, we'll show you the same stats whether you use a broad, phrase, or exact match type with dark chocolate. Traffic estimates like clicks and cost, on the other hand, do take into account keyword match types. For example, if you get estimates for a list of broad match keywords, we'll take into account any overlap between those keywords.

It's clearly a business move to get people onto AdWords, it was a free tool guys; can't complain.

Pretty sure once you advertise once on Adwords you get access to all the tools anyway. We ran a test campaign once and have access to everything still even without throwing more cash into it..?

I don't get the planner either, if anyone knows how to bring back exact match please please pm me!

I don't seem to have a problem with their keyword tool. I kind of like the new version of it... But if you don't like it, you should try SEMRush or SpyFU.

Both of them are free for a few KW searches, but after a while they want you to pay some mulah. From what I understand, both of them scrape their info from each other as well as google's tool. I feel like google's tool might be more up to date and it includes more keywords. But to each his own.;)

I can't stand the "Keyword Planner" or whatever their new tool is. Of course I'd discover it when I'm sitting down showing someone 'how easy' it is to research keywords. LOL

Look at the bright side, at least this thread ranks #1 in Google for: google keyword tool sucks cock

With all of Google's latest algorithm changes that screwed things up badly, it's nice to know they ranked this one right. :)
