New GMB Listing - Getting It Ranking & To Appear

Just set up a new Google My Business Listing with the correct information and a logo, but what else should I be doing to get it ranking at the top of the GMB Listings.

I've built a few links to the CID URL of my listing and added a logo but anything else?

It's a sub-listing so it's based on one of the services on offer so I want to get it ranking.

Is that what helps? I was told that Reviews don't matter and don't have an impact?

Embed map in web 2.0 and other properties also build google stacks with your keywords.

They do, keeping your GMB alive is important -update it often posting new products, promotions and so on-. Good reviews also play a key role.
